They placed us in a room on 5th floor on the right side just a room back from oceanfront. At first I thought of asking for a different room but that location wound up to be fine as there was no activity going on below us and it was probably quieter. The view was serene rather than of pool activity. The only problem in the room I encountered was small ants but they promptly sent someone to spray when I mentioned it. The service you provided me was excellent. I felt the week was truly a value with all that came included. My daughter and I enjoyed the spa visit and I was thankful for free calls to the U.S. to keep my teen connected with her boyfriend back home. I took advantage of the discount in the shops on several occasions. We ate all of our meals there and the food and service was good for the majority of the time. I loved that there was nightly entertainment that we could attend. We took the shuttle to Moon Palace one day and I was glad we had chosen the small environment of Playacar. We went on two excursions: the snorkeling trip, which we thoroughly enjoyed. the beach club at that location is gorgeous and my daughter and I got the opportunity to swim with horses. The second excursion we took was the Tulum/Xpu-Ha trip. Tulum was hot and Xpu-Ha was fun for the kids as the other teens at the hotel all seemed to wind up on that trip too. That resort seemed to be very quiet with not too many guests. Everything was perfect! We arrived at the airport in Cancun (March 4, 2007) where a Chaza rep. met us to take us to Playacar (for free) just like you said. The resort was like a honeymoon fairytale! We were greeted with champagne and quickly checked in. Our room was gorgeous with an awesome view of the pool, ocean, and Cozumel in the distance. The Jacuzzi was huge and not just a tub in the bathroom like in most hotels, it was right next to the balcony (whose doors almost fully opened to unto the balcony). The staff was incredible and very attentive to our needs, and eager to help. We quickly learned to get a free drink at the bar before venturing into downtown! <-- That was a very nice detail about the 'all inclusive'. We did get to take advantage of some of the free tours and went snorkeling, scuba diving, and to Chichen Itza which was breath-taking. I have been on many vacations in many different parts of the world, but I've never felt so welcomed and cared for as I did there. Your service was the perfect thing for a couple like us just starting out, and as a matter of fact, when we talked to the Palace Resort people, they could not believe that we got such a great deal and said they've never heard of anyone but members paying so little. It was nice to get all of the benefits of being a member (discounted golf, free massage, manicure and pedicure, etc) without actually being members. We met several other couples there who booked with travel agents who said they paid way more and didn't get near as much. We will definitely use you and Palace Resorts in the future.
