What you may not be able to see on his video is that Mr. Beck has decorated and furnished this home lavishly. The furniture is exquisite and tasteful. Having worked in the furniture business for over 15 years, it was the first thing my husband noticed. He went in to each room in awe that someone actually spent that much money to furnish a home that they didn't live in every day. It was a wonderful experience for my family to feel so while on vacation. Everything was as he promised and then some. Visiting this home should not be a decision you have to make. Everyone enjoyed all the ammities in the house and the conveniences that were close by. It made our vacation a very pleasant and relaxing time. The pool and hot tub were a great hit, the children (as well as some of the adults) were in the pool from morning until the system turned off in the evening. The beds were very comfortable and each room had more than enough space for each couple. The girls especially liked the Princess Room and were glad they had a bathroom to themselves. Your directions to the house were right on and we were amazed at how well marked everything was for the Disney parks. We were a little nervous of what to expect, as we had never booked over the internet with a private owner before, but this home exceeded all of our expectations! Everything was as John had said. It was very clean, accomodating, and decorated very nicely. We felt spoiled, like we were in 5 star luxury. Each Master bedroom had a King sized bed, beautiful furniture, and their own bathrooms. This kids loved their Disney rooms, and also enjoyed their own bathroom. It was a perfect size for our group of 12 (we had one empty bed). We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The surrounding neighbours houses were close-by, but we did not see anyone most of the time. It was very private and quiet. The house was well-stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and the laundry facilities were a great advantage. The quiet neighbourhood felt very safe, and we enjoyed using the Community tennis and basketball courts, nature walk, and there was even weekly movie nights for the kids at the Community Centre. Once we arrived, we could not get the internet working, so we called John, and he immediately fixed it within a few minutes. It was really nice to have some bacon, eggs, bread, milk, butter etc in the fridge when we arrived, so we could wait until the next day to buy our groceries. The location was perfect, as it was very close to grocery and shopping stores, and many restaurants. It was also a very short drive to Disney, which was perfect!We would be happy to recommend this to any of our friends, and look forward to returning again.   Rebecca, Ontario, Canada 01/17/08 Positive Sorry this review is so late! We stayed at the Diamond Thanksgiving week for a family reunion. We were 7 adults and 5 kids. We had a wonderful time! The house is very spacious and beautifully furnished. We had such a nice Thanksgiving dinner at the beautiful dining room table. The pool and hot tub were wonderful- great temperature and very well kept. The only minor annoyance that we encountered was being severely scolded by the cleaning people for showing up too early. Maybe they were just having a bad day. We left and came back a while later and everything was clean. The house is close to its neighbors, but that did not bother us. It was very quiet, and we never saw anyone in either house next to the Diamond. Mr. Beck obviously cares greatly about his property and his guests. He is very helpful and accomodating. The kids really enjoyed the pool when we were there long enough for them to swim. Quiet neighborhood. Such a lovely complex that the house is on and the entrance is impressive. John's customer service is top notch and he was very helpful. Outback steak house, grocery store and shopping plaza just 2 minutes away. It takes no time to get to Disney and everything was so easy. With so many bedrooms everyone had there own space and it was great having a crib already at the house for us to use. With a large group of 3 adult couples and one single adult, as well as 4 small children under 4 years of age, it seemed to make sense to try it. After investigating a number of houses, we selected John Beck's home based on our need for 4 master suites and 2 kid's rooms as well as the proximity to Disney World. The house was wonderful. The brochures do not do it justice. It is huge, with all kinds of bedroom spaces and a large downstairs kitchen/family area gathering spot. Everything in the house worked well and the house was clean and very well-furnished. The beds had wonderful mattresses. John monitors all the major house systems from New Jersey, and he called within 15 minutes of our arrival to make sure everything was OK. All kinds of restaurants and food stores are in the immediate area.Unfortunately the pool and hot tub heater did not work on arrival. John immediately worked with the management company to try to fix it, and in the meantime we took the kids to the clubhouse pool and hot tub (about a mile away)for a few days, which was toasty warm. When the house pool was fixed near the end of the week, the pool and hot tub were great.   Peter J 11/18/07 Positive I found out about this house through some message boards and this was my first time renting a house as opposed to staying hotels. We were a group of 9 (6 adults, 3 kids) and started off our trip staying in a hotel for the first 3 nights, with the plan to be in a house for a more relaxing time.Everything about the experience was top notch. Booking and payment was seamless and was always secure. Getting instructions to get to and access the house was clear. The house itself was amazing. There is nothing like having your own pool and hot tub. Every room was clean and it was a nice surprise to see a few grocery items already in the house awaiting us, so that we could at least wait until later in the day to get the rest of the groceries. Driving to the parks only took a few minutes and the location itself was close to all important amenities.What I didn't expect but was happy to see were a couple of things. One, the day we arrived the owner called us to ensure everything was OK - it was something that wasn't necessary but always adds to a level of security you want during a vacation. Two, the house itself was 'wired up' very well. It had a built in security system, you could have music from the stereo system piped into the pool area, the pool itself had lights to allow swimming at night, and the phone was set up such that when someone called, it announced on the house speaker system who was calling. Three, the service from the management company was top notch. Mid way through our trip, the hot tub didn't seem to bubble as much as before. Upon calling Paul at the Management Company, he came within a few hours to address the situation and fixed it quickly.While staying at Disney hotels does have some perks, there is nothing more relaxing than having a great vacation home. You will feel safe in booking this house. If I need lodging for a big group again I would have no hesitation in staying here again. It was the best experience ever! Mr. John Beck assisted me in renting 3 of the homes, his included. There were 36 people in our party and plenty of room in the houses. My family really enjoyed themselves. Everything felt just like home. The heated pools were an added bonus. We enjoyed the resort, the serene atmosphere, the beauty, and the peace and quiet. The clubhouse was a favorite for my younger family (and the men). We are now trying to plan another trip back. My family and I have visited the Orlando area for the past 3 years, and we must say that this home has been the best by far. The very best thing about this vacation home is that each family had their own space (bedroom and bathroom). Mr. Beck was wonderful also. Moments after we entered the home, there was a power outage in the entire area because of an approaching storm. When we phoned Mr. Beck about this, he was very concerned and helpful. Although he could do nothing about the power, he was still very apologetic. He was alos helpful with directions to the different Orlando attractions that we planned to visit. He even left a welcome package in the refrigerator. Although we have never had any problems with the other vacation homes, none of the other rental companies have ever gone to that extent. I even received an email from Mr. Beck upon arrival home to make sure we had made it home safely. What more could a person ask for? I would first like to say that the web sites for this home are good, but the photo's just can't convey how lovely this home is. Every room is wonderfully appointed and beautiful. The resort itself was also very well maintained and beautiful, much nicer than those in the area. The home is in a great location and is convenient to the Disney propeties, restauants, great grocery stores and a Wal-Mart. The pool is also very nice and the spa is nice and hot, very relaxing. I was very impressed with how Mr. Beck was responsive to our needs before and during the rental and he is a caring and gracious host. When speaking with Mr. Beck I could tell that he is a family man who cares a great deal about spending time with his family, and cares a great deal that the time you spend with your family in his home is as perfect and relaxing as possible. The home is perfect for a family with children (we traveled with three children ages 4,8,and 12 as well as two grandparents, and there was still so much more room than we needed. It gave us all a lot of room to spread out and have privacy if we wanted. I would rent this home again without hesitation! Over the last seven years we have vacationed in Orlando twice a year and have stayed in rental homes in many subdivisions. This is the best home in which we have ever stayed for a number of reasons.First, Mr. Beck "actively" manages this house. He promptly returns emails and phone calls and has a very good relationship with his management company. He called us within an hour of our arrival to make certain everything was satisfactory. When I discovered the iron did not work, it was repaired and brought back to me the next day. On the day of our departure I did a last "walk through" with a member of his team to make sure everything was in order after our stay. Granted this was probably a luxury we had because we were there during a less busy time but I knew that we would not be blamed for any damage that we did not do. Second, the heat for the spa was actually 110 degrees and we could use it ANY time we wanted(!!) not just certain hours of the day. This was really a high point of the vacation for my husband and me. Early morning in the spa before any of our seven children awakened was truly delightful.Third, the house is very close to Disney. By using Sherbeth Road to access Osceola Pkwy a great deal of the traffic can be avoided on US 192 and I-4. We were amazed at how little gas we used this trip because we were so much closer to everything.Fourth, the furniture and TVs really are a much better quality than many of the homes in which we have stayed. My 16 year old daughter absolutely loved the leather upholstered sleigh bed in her master bedroom while my husband appreciated the Cuisinart coffeemaker and blender!Out of the 14 homes we have rented in the Disney area, this is the first home we would rent again. Here's why---the owner, John Beck, is an articulate, professional, and gracious individual who does indeed have a "diamond" of a home in the Emerald Island Resort. His beautifully decorated and welcoming home has four king bedroom suites and two twin bedrooms just for the kids. My daughter and niece selected the adorable Princess bedroom. Our family absolutelly felt at home and loved the heated pool and spa. We even found food and drinks in the fridge when we arrived. Amenities such as the large thirsty bath towels, well-supplied kitchen, washer and dryer, pool toys, detailed information book about the home, and efficient entry system helped to make the stay enjoyable.The home is within three miles to the Disney gate and this really makes a difference. Why rent a home twenty minutes or further away? It doesn't make sense. You want to get to the parks quickly and have a short drive home after a full day.Here's more: John provides lots of good info and tips about Orlando and the parks, he cares about his home and people who stay there, his home is a "smart" home---complete with computerized entry system, his property is run by a good management company, the neigborhood is a good one, with a clubhouse, community pool, tennis courts, and more.Listen, we had a great time in Orlando, and one of the reasons why was because we stayed in this home. We were there with a group of young people (ages 12-18) who participated in a National Fine Arts Festival, and their parents. It was great to be able to relax in the mornings and fix breakfast and maybe take a swim in the lovely pool before we had to get busy with the activities of the day. The house was beautiful and allowed us to feel very relaxed and conserve energy for the performances that the kids had to be involved in. The owners did a great job of making this house beautiful and family friendly. The house is gorgeous and well planned for vacationers. Lots of bath rooms for kids and adults. Kitchen and dining room are convenient and were fully equiped for our needs. The groceries you included were great. We didn't have to run to the store right away. Furniture is superb, stylish yet very comfortable. The kids loved the pool. I consider this house a great find for our vacation and well worth the money. In fact I think the rental was below what the house was worth. A great place to stay. The weather was perfect and the house was incredible, the furniture was amazing. It was easy to tell how much effort went into the decoration of the house.We've already informed the rest of the family that we all need to go there together next year. We requested a later check out and they were more than happy to accommodate our request. The pack and play was perfect for the baby. The guards at the main gate were so helpful as well.
